At Octane Coffee, we believe in simple, great-tasting coffee that everyone can make.
Over 20 years ago, founder Steve discovered a coffee machine and fell in love with the art of a perfect cuppa. One thing lead to another and today we are a family-run business with a tonne of passion and love for what we do.
Having searched the world for the finest fairtrade beans, and mixing them up in our home roastery, we think we’ve found the perfect blend. Our customers think so too, as we send our hand-stamped bags of beans to some of the best coffee shops and sellers in Queenstown and Otago.
At Octane Coffee, we’re passionate about direct customer relationships, supporting our local communities and making people smile with a delicious cuppa. We know great coffee doesn’t change the world, but it’s a good place to start.
Our coffee is designed to ignite the tastebuds and refuel the body. We use a blend of 50% Colombian and 50% Guatemalan beans to create a bold and smooth taste, with an after-kick to wake you up. It’s nutty, woody and chocolatey, with a smidge of caramel, and simply delicious.
Home-roasted with passion and hand-packaged in reusable bags, we take every ethical and eco-friendly step to ensure the farmers, coffee-makers, and of course, the coffee-drinkers are 100% happy.
To do this, we source our beans from a high-quality Auckland supplier that has a direct and collaborative relationship with their fairtrade farmers. Not only are the beans exceptional and consistent every time, but we’re also supporting smaller coffee-growing communities as well.
Octane supplies consistent coffee that tastes great every time. Whether it’s a Barista’s first day, or they’re a flat-white-making machine, with our coffee it’s easy to create one whopping cuppa that’ll keep customers coming back for more.
We supply some of Queenstown’s best coffee shops, cafes and hotels, including the award-winning Eichardt’s hotel and the Spire restaurant. But we love the little guys as well - those cafes that fuel the community and give a buzz to the town, like the The Coffee Hatch and Arrowtown Bakery.
